Mohair, the shorn wool of Angora goats is the basic fibre used for all of our skins.

mohair technology

As one of the most exclusive natural materials and specifically lightest textile fiber, mohair offers optimal properties for use as a climbing skin:

With a diameter of just 0.03 mm and hollow inside, mohair is extremely fine yet highly robust and durable. It remains supple and effective even in the coldest temperatures. The mohair yarn is produced according to the “Sustainable Mohair Production Guidelines”.

100% mohair is used in the hybrid pure, hybrid speed, guide pure, guide race and guide speed. This coat offers optimal gliding properties.

The hybrid mix, hybrid FAT free, splitboard, guide mix and guide rent models are made of 65% mohair and 35% nylon. As a result, they offer optimum climbing properties and a particularly long service life and robustness.

All contour skins are produced in Tyrol (Austria).
